I feel obligated to reblog this every time it shows up in my dash
No bragging, just 100% floored and grateful. Work hard, maintain a positive attitude, and believe that anything can happen.
So I reblogged this exactly a week ago because I thought it was funny and uh lo and behold, a family friend wrote me a big ol’ check just to help me out of a tough financial spot AND my bank refunded me $32 for fees they’d originally taken out. SO UH YEAH. Reblogging this again in hopes that it brings equally good fortune to my followers.
Sure why not? Jobs bring in money and prosperity…
I read the story Across the Stars by nite0wl29 which was beta-read by you and I was wondering if you considered to be a beta editor for an original fiction?
Hi! Uh yeah actually! I want to both write original fic and beta it tbh. I have been writing FF forever. Thanks for reaching out!
*You don’t need to donate to change.org, donate directly to the families. Also if there’s a problem with a petition (or you have a petition I should add), please dm me instead of reblogging so I can fix it faster.*

Chapter Sneak Peek
Ben pulled the car around the circular drive halting it just before the entry way to the main garage when he saw an elderly man poke his head out of the massive oak front door. Ben grinned. “The old man is still truckin’, I see.”
“Who?” Rey asked as Ben pulled the car into park and turned to her.
“You’ll see, come on,” he said, motioning for her to get out of the car with him. The two of them got out as Rey took in Ben grinning widely from beneath his black Ray Ban Wayfarers looking less like a successful entrepreneur and more a son home from college in a gray v-neck t-shirt and black jeans. “Threepio!” He called out to the man, holding his arms up.
The elder man grinned and made his way over. “Master Ben! Oh, what a pleasure it is to see you come home!”
Rey watched as the two embraced and the older man clapped a hand to Ben’s back before turning to the silent observer Rey had become.
“Oh!” Threepio said, surprised to see a young woman. “Oh! Your mother did mention you were bringing your girlfriend home, now that I recall!” He said happily as he came over. “I am Chadwick Threepio the third, caretaker of Varkyino, and you are?” The man asked, holding out his hand for her.
Rey grinned warmly, stepping forward to shake his hand. He was a kind looking elderly gentleman who looked no older than his mid-seventies even though the delicate almost frail British tenor of his voice told her that he was far older. “Rey, Rey Erso,” she replied warmly.
He grinned and turned pointing his arm out to the house, “Welcome, my lady, Rey to Varykino.”
“Thank you,” Rey added as he turned and frowned at Ben who was carrying both of their overnight bags.
“Master Ben, must you carry your things.”
“You’re not a spring chicken anymore Threepio and I can handle two overnight bags, old man. Besides, why don’t you regale Rey with a little history lesson?”
Rey chuckled at the exchange between the two. “I had a feeling your family was disgustingly wealthy but Ben I didn’t realize it was McMansion estate and lifelong Butler wealthy”
Threepio turned to her with a horrified glance. “Butler! Miss Rey, no I am no butler. I have been caretaker of the estate since I came home with Master Anakin after the war. The Naberrie family took me right in.”
“He’s not a butler,” Ben interjected at the same time.
Rey raised her hands up and corrected. “Oh, sorry my mistake. Caretaker wealthy then.”
Ben shook his head. “I mean – where do you think the Naberrie’s got the money for a house like this.”
“Ben this isn’t a house. The Taj Mahal is a house by comparison,” Rey countered.
“The Taj Mahal is a tomb,” Threepio countered, making Rey grin. “The Naberrie family, which was a bright mix of Spanish and Israeli ethnicity heralding from the Sephardic Jewish culture, originally emmigrated from their chosen ancestral home of Malta in the early 1800s with the promise of American religious freedom that brewing antisemitism in Europe had made them consider the move in the first place. Varykino was originally built in 1849, after the California Gold Rush where Mistress Padme’s great-grandparents decided to move. The Naberrie family was wealthy in banking including helping to fund much of the railroads of the early frontier. Although they didn’t know about the underhanded practices and Robber Barons of the day. Here they decided to build their home. Their grandson, Ruwee Naberrie married the young and vibrant socialite, Jobal Thule, who would become parents to sisters Sola and Padme. It was while the girls were young in the 1920s that Jobal herself undertook overseeing the major renovations to the manor to bring it to the twentieth century with full indoor plumbing and electric thanks to the innovations of the Wizard of Menlo Park,” Threepio added, making Ben huff under his breath about what a thief and a charlatan Edison was.

Anonymous asked: Hi! I used to follow u on Twitter but I deleted the app because of all the hate towards reylos currently. I always loved to read your bh updates and notes and just wondering If u gonna update again anytime soon?
I hope to soon! I’m working on it and my RFFA fic. Thank you so much for reaching out!
Listen, I liked Sanders. But the Supreme Court is the only thing I care about right now.
If you vote for anyone that isn’t the Democrat nominee, we are looking at a 7-2 right-wing SCOTUS. For how long? 30-40 YEARS.
RBG is 87. Breyer is 81. Chances of them making it to 2024 are not great.
For the record, I think this system is FUCKED and this isn’t how SCOTUS composition should be decided, but it is how it is right now.
If you care about the rights of women, of minorities of any kind, you really need to vote for the democrat nominee. No third parties or write ins. No abstaining. And for crying out loud, no assuming that Trump won’t win even if you don’t vote. VOTE BLUE.
Joe Biden is chemo. Chemo sucks and sorta tries to kill you, but you take it because it kills your cancer faster.
The current state of affairs with regards to how the country’s being run? Cancer.Â
Bernie Sanders would have been a surgery that cuts the tumor out without long-term damage, but from the looks of it we’re at the point where that’s not a viable option.
Not voting is essential oils: it smells nice and does nothing.
Brilliant analysis
That’s all fair and all…. but Bernie didn’t drop out. He’s suspended his campaign to focus on the pandemic. We could still have Bernie if people don’t immediately jump ship.
Stay in it for Bernie and go vote in your state primary if it hasn’t already happened. If he doesn’t get the nomination, then vote for Biden anyway because as people said – chemo sucks, but at least it has a chance at killing the cancer faster than it kills you.Â
Biden himself being slightly less godawful than trump wouldn’t be the only thing on the table. 2 likely Supreme Court nominations, guys. TWO OF THEM. Those are LIFETIME appointments, and if republicans get to make those picks then you can kiss decades of progress on women’s rights and minority rights goodbye, because they will have an easy conservative majority on the Supreme Court, to start doing things like, oh, overturning Roe v. Wade. They’d LOVE to do that.Â
And while you’re at it, make sure you vote for Congress too, because even if trump wins again, he’ll have a lot harder time pulling off his bullshit with a Dem-majority Congress who aren’t all ready to fall over themselves kissing his ass.Â
And furthermore while you’re at it, vote for your state legislatures, because this is census year and that means voting district lines get redrawn. Republicans taking over state legislatures a decade ago meant that they could gerrymander the districts in their favor to steal bigger elections. It’s not chance that trump won the election while losing the popular vote, guys. The system was deliberately rigged. Getting enough Democrats into your state legislature to force a fair redistricting will help prevent dumpster fires like this from happening again in the future.Â
And furthermore: bad national leadership is bad, but good local leadership CAN help mitigate the bad for at least the local area. Look at how the feds have bungled the COVID response, and left it in the hands of state governors, some of whom stepped up and others of whom left it to county governors or even city mayors to decide how to respond. Vote all the way down to your local school board, because the more local you get the more power your single vote has to affect the outcome, and those elections still have real effects on real people’s lives. School board elections can help determine whether or not minority children in your area get equal education access, whether or not teens who get knocked up can get childcare so they can still finish school, whether or not they’ll let a trans or GNC kid go to prom in the attire they feel most comfortable in regardless of what the gender marker on their birth certificate says, which school clubs are allowed to exist, etc. Real effects on real people’s lives. That’s not something to throw away just because you don’t particularly love either of the options on the table for president.Â
Yo! I just spent all of yesterday binging the entirety of bedroom hymns it’s so good!! I love how they both had their respective arcs to go through and the smut is just *chefs kiss* brilliant. Also it was super interesting to be introduced into that community and the gradual learning about it and the lens through which you wrote it makes me much more understanding of it rather than solely having the societal taboo feeling about it. Just wondering, is it still ongoing?
Hi there!
Yes it is still ongoing. I’m working on the next chapter. As you can tell I write ridiculously long chapters and this one is gonna be no different. Hopefully I can get this out to ya’ll soon! Thank you so much for reading! And for this lovely message! Please feel free to hope into my ask box or instant messages anytime!
